I've never really been into theater, but over the past couple of months, I've gone to see both Wicked and Once on Broadway, and I'm addicted to the cast recordings.
Literally all of our faves could never. These artists are so talented and the music is so great that it sends chills through my body every time.
How was Once? I loved the movie but I've heard the stage version is pretty different. I think my parents might like it though so I was thinking of taking them as a gift.
Yes! I am a huge musical fan. Patti LuPone is my queen! Her vocal power is out of this world. My favorite musical of all time is Evita. I saw it on broadway 5 times and own over 20 different recordings in all languages. Any musical by Stephen Sondheim is amazing. Gypsy, Company, A Little Night Music, just to name a few. I definitely recommend you looking those up!
Just last week I had seen "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical," and it was out of this world! This is coming from someone who generally prefers plays over musicals...but "Beautiful" is a must-see!

Yeah, the ticket prices are kinda ridiculous.
But Once was really good! It's so sweet and emotional, but provides laughs at the same time. It was my second time seeing it. I had seen it another time before with the original cast on a trip with my classmates. The live rendition of When Your Mind's Made Up is so full of energy and soul! Definitely one of my favorite songs from the play.
