Nicole Scherzinger unreleased photos for scrapped new album
This is the photoshoot of Nicole Scherzinger's planed-to be-new album that had Will.I.Am as executive producer, but was later canceled due Boomerang's lack of sucess. Some of the photos were taken at the same place they shot some scenes of the Work B**ch music video and some of them were used as Boomerang's promoshoot.

I doubt this is true. It was only released in the UK and it was #6, while she had almost no radio support. She probably had already a inner conflict with Interscope and already got in talks for a new label, then just jumped ship, canceled the era and prepared for the UK XFactor.
#6 is not a lack of succes tbh lol, there are enough artists who dream about that and it's not like Boomerang is the best material she could have released!

I think the first one wasn't her intention, but it seems that the album Boomerang was supposed to be the lead single, were entirely scrapped. I think the new label didn't liked the Will.I.Am work or thought that it wasn't good enough to make her successful again.

Her Name Is Nicole was forced to be shelved by Interscope and her ex-management to get a PCD reunion together, to get money off that instead off Nicole's trainwreck HNIN era, which easily could have handled like her KL era, but oh well.
She was still with Interscope when she recorded with will.i.am. She probably wasn't able to take that material with her, when she got in talks with Sony.

It seems like the era is only considered successful in the UK when the first single become a #1 hit. I guess that was what the label thought it was going to happen, since her fans were thirsty for new songs by then and she was hot because of the XFUK.

It may be in terms of radio support though, and in the UK it's hard to have any album success without core radio support. Number six is good, but if it sold less than 200k, then it's not great.
But the last photo is HOT.

Wouldn't her shelved projects have to be released for her to have influence?

Those pictures with the pink wall are perfect! I wish we could get those to leak in HQ along with the "Pretty" studio version. I love that song so much & was so disappointed she never released it.

I know that, she reached the #6 mainly because of her populairity and promo scedule.

Poison just reached #3, it was her 2nd single DHYB that reached #1.
It surely had more to do with her new label rather than Boomerang's succes, for "scrapping" the album. I know for sure that if she was still with Interscope, we would have gotten atleast 1 other single., if that was top 3, the album would have been out.
She actually worked weeks after the release of Boomerang on material, and even still with will.i.am's team involved to some extend. Towards summer 2013 it all became more vague, she still worked on material, but will.i.am's name dissapeared, and then the new label rumours came late 2013, which have been obviously been talked during the months before.

You're right actually. Label confidence is more the point than sales. I mean Alexandra had the same issue, yet got 2 singles and an album out. I don't get why Nicole has this issue though, she's talented!

I really feel she had a fight with Interscope, or something other intern problem. You don't let your career drag on. Then record a full length 2nd album, have a complete photoshoot ready, release the first single, then scrap it all together and move to a new label.
Nicole actually has been fighting to release "inspirational" musi for years now. She wanted Nobody Can Change Me as leadsingle in 2009, but obviously that project got scrapped all together. Boomerang also has that same kind of lyrics. She might have got the benefit of the doubt by the label. Then the song "underperformed" for their expectations. They might got in a fight on whatever direction she had to go with this era single wise. And then she decided to part ways, or they decided to let her go. All speculation, but it seems some scenario that could have happened, knowing her.
