Hi, I've been wondering if leaving one part of the charger in the outlet is good or bad and why? Thanks in advance!

I hate when my family leaves chargers in the wall without anything plugged in on the other side. I always unplug them! I worry that it's a fire hazard.

This is Tech though and I expect civilized responses from people. I am not being rude or anything, just a thing I've been wondering about for a long time.

It's actually just wasting energy. Many people believe it doesn't because it's not charging anything, but it's still conducting electricity from the socket to the charger…

Can't you just turn the plug socket off but leave the charger in the outlet

not all countries have switches on their sockets to turn them off.
