There's no denying that Angel and Buffy were destined to be soulmates. And I can definitely relate to always having a soft spot for your first true love, but Spike was able to make the tension and their forbidden attraction work for the show. I'm glad that Buffy doesn't end up with Angel because it gives a realistic take on an otherwise fantastical show.
