In a time period I like to refer to as The Post-Avrilsplosion, the music scene in the U.S.A and especially in Canada saw the release of many musical projects that featured talented young females putting out catchy yet introspective pop-rock material (Fefe Dobson, Michelle Branch and Skye Sweetnam come to mind).
Though their image and overall sound were obviously molded on the success of Avril Lavigne's first two albums, many who grew up in the early-to-mid-2000's still have a soft spot for their discography.
Lillix was the only girl band who embraced the slight radio-ready appeal and found commercial success, notably on TRL. Though their success was short-lived and the lineup changes frequent, the members are still all in good terms. For many teens or pre-teens of the era, songs What I Like About You (theme song of the Amanda Bynes hit TV show of the same name) or It's About Time were part of their real-life teen movie soundtrack!
