It's no secret that the Xbox One doesn't do so hot in Japan. While it appeals to people outside of the country, it's sales there have always been abysmal. Why can't the Xbox One move units in Japan? Is the competition just too fierce?
I thought Japan pretty much does their own thing and doesn't like it when other markets try and infiltrate theirs? At least that is what I read on articles but I don't know if it is true or not.
Sony and Nintendo are Japanese-owned companies and well I suppose Asians prefer their native product, as opposed to foreign product. They trust and like both more.
I remember all the 360 promo when Final Fantasy XIII was coming out and only showed the 360 version to make it push units. The PS3 version still sold more and that is in the west I can only imagine how little it sold in japan.
