Yes TRL is dead. The new format was the final blow that did it.Only way they can possibly recover is if they go back to the old format but it doesn't look like they're gonna go back. This show is done.R.I.P. TRL.

After Carson left, it slowly started to decline. Even up until May 2007, TRL was 60% decent of a show... until the fake rappers such as Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, and Shop Boyz came to show up. The summer 2007 TRL season was 53% good only because SuChin Pak reported on TRL for at least 75% of the shows and The White Stripes's Icky Thump made a suprise debut. In Mid-August, the **** rap plague was over, so back to somewhat the good old days of TRL. Then the 1 week hiatus, and after that, the show's last good weeks were nearing. But the real **** hit the fan when the changed the TRL format, and it's gone haywire since then. The last real good TRL day was 10.03.2007 when Pak made her last TRL report, and ever since then, TRL has gotten worse in both the c/d and the news reports (as far as correspondent choices), even though the MTV News segments are the best part of the show now.
I wish John Norris and/or Damien Fahey were fired.
My days of watching TRL are nearly over now; however, if MTV News fires SuChin Pak, I will tune out of TRL and MTV completely... for a while. My favorite MTV News reporters on TRL are Tim Kash, Kim Stolz, and Pak; although I like Sway as well-- but John "Boogerhead" Norris has to be fired.
I want Fuse on basic cable, and Fuse is way better than MTV, VH1, MTV2, BET, and CMT combined.

Well I'm not so sure about 53% good for summer. I was thinking more on the lines of 52% I think Fuse is on sort of a decline too (still considerably better than everything else but definitely on a decline). Did you happen to see last weekend's schedule on Fuse. If you did, then you would know what I mean. Still they are at least mostly dedicated to music and that counts for a lot more than MTV and MTV2 and the others. Fuse is on basic cable where I am (at least I think so because I think thats what I have.)

In my eyes yes, but because people still go to the studio to support it or watch it on t.v., no.

Yes!
Accidentally voted for "Don't Care."
But I guess that's true, too. I never watch TRL on a regular basis.
