Pharrell: Lorde and Kendrick Are Shaping The Industry
Talking to Hardnock TV, Pharrell talks about how the creative process, how the music industry is evolving, and how freshly minted artists like Lorde and Kendrick Lamar are influencing it.

You’ve seen it everywhere from the likes of the Kendrick Lamars to Lorde. Two of my favorite artists at the moment. They just didn’t care. Put a song up on Soundcloud, shot a video. It’s like ‘Okay, I may sign with you guys or not.’ And I love that. Because she’s 16-years-old. So, she to me is like a shining example of where we’re headed.
The only people in recent years that "shaped the industry" are Lady Gaga and BEP with the dance pop with the help of Rihanna, Dr Luke etc.. and then Adele changed top 40 radio and they started giving chance to songs like STIUTK, We Are Young and ROYALS.... Without Adele (although her style is far away from Lorde's ) there'd be no Lorde.
Still think that Lorde is gold for us music lovers Kendrick is also amazing !
I don't trust him anymore.
