After reading this article I started becoming curious about the possibility of humans somehow tuning into, or turning around, old radio waves that have been travelling through space for centuries.

It's probably not at all possible, I realize that and that's not what this thread is about.
I'm more curious as to what you'd want to listen to/tune into if it was possible to access radio waves?

The first time ...Baby One More Time was played?
Radio coverage from a war?
Follow the Little Orphan Annie show with an antique decoder?

It's interesting to think about.

I'm sure that technology in the next 20 to 50 years will be able to answer your questions
The thing about radio waves traveling through the space for centuries is a biT creepy tho

I spent the better part of like two years of my childhood obsessing over Contact. It's a bit of a must watch if you're intrigued by this idea of extraterrestrial life somehow intercepting the various messages we transmit into space.

Centuries worth of radio, surely you can't listen to it all. So what would you want to dig up?

Hearing them on the radio is more exciting than hearing them on your phone.
