Kanye Confronts Anna Wintour For Picking Lena Dunham over KK
Quote:
Kanye West is said to be insulted that his fiancé Kim Kardashian has been overlooked again in favour of the multi-talented Girls writer and director Lena Dunham.
The hip-hop artist allegedly confronted Vogue’s chief editor Anna Wintour at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge, demanding to know why Lena had been deemed a worthy cover star for February's issue.
An insider told that Kanye, 36, believes Kim has a greater appeal than Lena and argued she is ‘just as talented as Lena, if not more so.’
The source said: ‘Kanye knows that it’s always been a huge dream of Kim’s to be on the Vogue cover and Kanye wants to make it comes true. If nothing else, Kanye is persistent.'
The source added that Kanye is bitter because Anna is a personal friend, saying: ‘To Kanye, it’s insulting that his friend Anna is still refusing to even consider putting Kim on the cover of Vogue. He thinks Anna is listening to a bunch of “know-nothing” corporate haters, as he put it.
‘He’s upset that Anna isn’t willing to do him this personal favor and put Kim on the cover.’
This is not the first time that Kanye has spoken of his desire to see his wife appear on Vogue.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest last year, he said, "[When] I took [Kim] to the Met Ball and they put [photos] up on Vogue.com and tried to say she wasn’t there because they didn’t want a reality show girl there," West complained to Ryan Seacrest in October. "And there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like every day ... and collectively we’re the most influential with clothing."
But Kim was notably left off Vogue’s ranking of the best-dressed stars at the Met Ball red carpet in May, when she wore a top-to-toe floral print ensemble.
And during Kanye’s recent concert tour stop in Brooklyn, Anna sat some distance away from Kim despite sharing a VIP box.
I agree. Kim is redefining what it means to be a celebrity/socialite/challenging cultural norms on women and she deserves to be recognized for it. I'm not even trolling, people don't actually take the time and appreciate Kim but just blindly join the hate bandwagon.
Why cant he understand that as much as Kim made an empire for herself, the opportunity arose from a sex tape and she just wont be as respected as other females in Hollywood (actresses, musicians)
He should let Kim get it on her own merit because otherwise all people would say is "Kanye forced Anna" & etc. It wouldn't be seen as authentic more than likely.

I actually agree.
Kim went from Paris Hilton's assistant to an EMPIRE practically overnight. At the very least she is an incredible case study of business and entrepreneurship, regardless of what you think about her personally.
