A tired Lorde pictured this morning arriving back home at Auckland Airport with her family, after winning two Grammys on Sunday in Los Angeles.
She received a heroes welcome from the general public, who politely and calmly turned out in droves, and stopped for numerous photos with fans.
However, once outside, the media got out of hand, and she later took to Twitter to comment about the throng of pushy TV cameras and reporters that nearly knocked over her and her family to get these photos.
As well, the Air New Zealand crew welcomed her plane on the apron with a traditional New Zealand Maori haka dance, as well as notes of congratulations appearing on the airport's noticeboards and information screens:
