Okay I downloaded videos and clips for my school news show off of youtube using the "desktop youtube downloader". problem is, it plays them as a flash format. the computers at my school where I'll need to edit the videos and stuff only plays MPEG or MPG.
I found one good one that converted but it ended up putting the logo on the videos because it was a demo. I've also searched cnet.com/download.com and many other sites, but can't find a decent converter.

that window will give u option on what u can convert your video to... you want to convert it to mpeg so u click where the green arrows are @... then it will open another windo and that's where u get the option to choose your settings...
okay. and i clicked mpeg maker and i guess it's working. the state still says 0%. does it always go slow?
did u choose your settings and push start on the mediacoder Mpeg Maker window ... if so it will start converting... and yeah it usually takes about 4 minutes for a video... depending on the quality of the video u want

oh no... what did we do wrong... let me see go the the first page where u dropped the video @ ... and click start there... maybe it will start converting from there...
it converts everything even though it took me a while to get used 2 it...
