I have gone to see a film because of an actor or director but generally I go to see films I think look interesting based on trailers and reviews etc

Definitely. I'd say I see a lot more serious films now then I did when I was younger but I still love comedy's and Disney films

Mostly just genre, trailers, premise of the film, what others have suggested and reviews. I don't really care about actors/directors that much.
Entertained. I don't really go to the cinemas with the intention to be motivated or anything else.
It's grown and expanded so now I can appreciate lots of different genres, but my favourite films are animated ones (especially Studio Ghibli films).

Usually genre we all like horror but if we see a trailer and we like it then it could be anything really

3. Genre, but the commercials are the most important.

5. Yes. I used to only watch comedies/horrors but as I got older I started watching a lot more action movies and less comedies (I still like horror).
