Ms. Kelly Bumps Back With Tour, Ex And Re-Release
The Grammy-winning R&B/Pop music superstar and former Destiny’s Child member, Kelly Rowland will launch an eagerly-awaited North American fall tour in support of her highly acclaimed sophomore solo LP, Ms. Kelly, with rising R&B singer Mario starting October 28 in Seattle, WA and closing with a three-night finale in Las Vegas, NV.
This will mark the now again solo singer first touring gig since the infamous and well rounded Destiny’s Child ’Destiny Fulfilled… & Lovin’ It’ farewell tour back in 2005. Coming from the heels of that tour, expect the Kelly Rowland with Mario tour to showcase the artist performing songs from her two solo efforts - Simply Deep and Ms. Kelly - along with in concert surprises from the Destiny’s Child collection and more.
From being apart of arguably the top-selling female recording group of all time to becoming a breakthrough solo artist in her own right, Rowland has sold more than two million copies worldwide with her debut, Simply Deep, charting at #1 in the UK, #3 on the Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Album Chart, and #12 on the Top 200. Simply Deep feature the smash hit, “Dilemma”, with rapper Nelly spending 10 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and earning the pair a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2003.
Riding the wave of the latest disc, Ms. Kelly, debuting at #6 on Billboard’s Hot 200 jumpstarts onto infectious sass-confidential lead single “Like This” featuring Eve - a #1 Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play hit and a Top 10 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks in the states -- became a Top 10 record in Canada, Croatia, Ireland, Slovenia and the UK - sultry fab follow-up “Ghetto” with help from Snoop Dogg and the simplicity confessional next single “Still In Love With My Ex”. One of the vocal superstars in Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland proved a major contributing force as the group racked up sales of more than 60 million records worldwide while earning two Grammy Awards in the Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals category (2000: "Say My Name"; 2001: "Survivor").
Kelly's natural charm and charisma have opened up the doors to roles in movies and on television. Her big screen acting credits include starring roles in the 2003 horror blockbuster, "Freddy vs. Jason," and 2004's comedy- romance, "The Seat Filler," executive produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. finally the song gets the shine it deserves! hopefully, it does better than her previous singles though "Like This" did decent at best.
