Victoria Beckham: 'It's time for the Spice Girls to end'

Victoria Beckham has stated that she "won't ever" perform with the Spice Girls again, as it is time to let the girlband die.
The popstar-turned-fashion designer commented as she posed for Vanity Fair Italy and Spain that the group's performance at the London 2012 Closing Ceremony was their way of saying "thank you... but no more".
"I won't ever do it again," she said. "Doing the Olympics was an incredible honour. I was so proud to do it; proud to be British.
"That was a perfect time to say, 'That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.' Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."
Victoria also opened up about her husband David Beckham's retirement from football last year, admitting that she is somewhat glad to spend more time with him.
"It was very emotional. We were so proud," she said. "He couldn't have given more to the sport than he did.
"After so many years, we have shared - and continue to share - him with so many people. So it's nice to have him home."
Victoria recently teased the long-awaited opening of her first clothing store in London.
I wonder if it people will bother her over the Spice Girls stuff for the rest of her life. Its a part of what got her into the industry, but whatever. Things might have been different if Geri didn't pursue a solo career tbh
Smart. They shouldn't have reunited back in 2007 for that awful comeback single either. Spice Girls will remain the most iconic 90s girl group, so there's no point diluting their legacy with unnecessary comebacks.
They were never great. They should definitely quite while their ahead. They are extremely lucky to have the legacy they have, so they would be better off not exposing the talent they truly have imo. Not shade intended but girl groups are flopping worldwide one, after another in the last 5 years. They will be no exception. Their musical also crashed into ashes. If they were to comeback and try to compete with little mix (who are extremely mediocre), it will only highlight just how not special they are. Especially given that ageism is rampant in the music industry. As I said, they should quite while their legacy is in tact.
