In the latest edition of the Kerrang! Magazine KoRn frontman Jonathan Davis reveals the goings on inside his head.
ANTI-HERO
"I found it hard dealing with the attention I was getting in the early days. I didn't want to be that guy, you know? I just wrote what was inside of me. But I'm glad I helped so many kids.
"I never tried to be anyone's saviour, but they had nowhere else to turn, but through our music they knew someone else was going through the same stuff that they were. God, I'd meet some of them and I'd just look in their eyes and see how they were ****ing hurting and I'd just ball my eyes out."
GOD
"I have faith. I believe in God. I'm not a 'religious' person, though. It's personal to me and I think organised religion does more harm than good."
THE DEVIL
"I have Stanton LaVey's [grandson of Anton LaVey] phone number in my cellphone. I've never talked to him but I got his number from my buddy. He's the leader of The Church of Satan and gets followed around by the FBI. In the stupid ****ing world we live in people think Satanists are bad. It's ****ing ridiculous. Some of the Satanists I've met are really nice people."
THE STATE OF THE WORLD
"The more I look at it the more I think that we're devolving as a species. Sure we can talk and build things, but so can animals. In our society we let paedophiles get away with it. We put them in jail for two years and then we let them out so they can go out and do it all over again. Anyone who wants to use some little kid's ass for his enjoyment should be ****ing killed."
BEING A CRY BABY
"When we started out people thought I was a cry baby. I wasn't a cry baby; I was going through the **** I was going through. I was ****ing hurting - I put myself out there for people."
CELEBRITY
"There are a lot of famous KoRn fans. Brad Pitt came to one of our shows. He was a cool guy, but I didn't ask him for his number. I'm not trying to be people's friends because they're famous."
I thought this was more than fairly interesting, so in the midst of all this Britney talk, here's something different.
