I don't know if I'm uneducated about this ... But ... Isn't the song itself (LET IT GO) nominated ? Not "Let It Go" by Idina, but the song as a musical composition ? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Not a certain version is nominated . Anyway, even though I prefer Demi's version (yes I'm biased), and I find Idina's first performance of this song cringeworthy, I genuinely think they should perform it together ! It would be an awesome performance and the track on Soundcloud that mixed both versions together is proof for that!

I'm pretty sure the movie FROZEN itself made the song popular. Sometimes you guys act like these two versions are just singles and they're not from a movie. Don't even act like Let It Go would've became well-known without a successful movie behind it .

A bit of truth in this, Idina isn't nominated for it. But the version Idina sung in the movie is nominated. Demi's version was used in the credits, they are not considered the same song.
