Cheryl Cole has reportedly agreed to a deal to rejoin The X Factor UK this year.
The 'Call My Name' singer is alleged to have been convinced to make a return to the show alongside fellow former judge Simon Cowell, who is also expected to retake his seat on the judging panel.
According to fresh reports, Cheryl was Simon's "main priority" for the revamped 2014 judging line-up and is believed to have signed a £2 million deal.
"All this talk of Nicole's deal is premature," a source close to the show told the Daily Star. "The only judge in talks is Cheryl.
"Talks have been going on for weeks and Simon has been doing everything to persuade her," they continued. "Finally she has agreed.
"Simon believed Cheryl's return was the key to his new ideas for the show," the source added.
It would only make sense for Simon to want her back, the show was most popular when (and because) she was on. I expect he definitely has made offers, and I wouldn't be surprised if she accepted given she's apparently planning this big comeback. My only fear is if she comes back and experiences 2010 all over again, or the shows ratings show no improvement.
No. I'm going to have to watch it again if she goes back to it and I don't wanna he drawn back into that rubbish.
The best thing for the ratings would be to go off air for a year or two and then make a massive comeback. It's a very boring and repetitive show at this point.
I loved her during the first season when she seemed real, after that it was all about just looking good and being the nice girl without a real opinion.
It would bring a lot of hype to X Factor(and to her also), but with Cheryl that's all you are stuck with- hype.I don't think she was that much of entertaing or constructive judge.
