Kerry stars on Scandal as Olivia Pope, a top Washington crisis manager carrying on a torrid extramarital affair with the president, played by Tony Goldwyn.
Kerry is thrilled at the attention that ABC’s Scandal, which draws eight million viewers a week, gets from Washington’s power elite.
“Bill Clinton was another person where I was like, ‘What?! You watch ‘Scandal’?’” Kerry said in an interview.
“I feel like it happens at least once a week — that I am totally floored by somebody who watches the show.”
But with Clinton nearly getting booted out of office after his fling with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, the source said his fondness for Scandal upsets Hillary, who’s laying the groundwork for her own 2016 presidential run.
“Bill gets a kick out of vicariously reliving his own White House scandal while watching the show,” the source said.
“One night, when Kerry was on screen, he casually said, ‘That girl is hotter than a two-dollar pistol!’ He’s lucky Hillary didn’t hear THAT!”
Hillary is a gorgeous woman. I mean, I know she's not exactly everyone's cup of tea but her intelligence and power is sexy and it's not fleeting like someone who is having a random career resurgence.
