I am planning to tell my parents when I move out. I am planning to call them when I live in somewhere else far away from them. They are loving people tho, but they have no idea bc I always tell fake stories about me having sex with girls. I have alot of friends but I won't tell them ever. I mean they have seen me kissing girls and flirting with them. But I just don't think I can do it. And btw I never kissed a boy or something like that.
I havnt officially 'come out' but i just act like its normal, and if someone does ask me i say yeah i told my friends in high school and they all were so supportive of me all said i dont have to be ashamed etc
This summer. I was 18. My parents caught me in a lie. I was "supposed" to visit my friend at her house when I really went to go on my very first date - they found out because she tweeted she was two states way. They interrogated me and I slammed and locked the door and told them point blank.
I was outed by a friend and the whole school literally thrashed me so hard. I was always teased, hit and constantly 'abused'. But, the family outing was fine
first I said I was bisexual with a preference for guys and then a couple months later I came out fully to all my friends and family. no one was really surprised and my mom was the only one who had a problem with it at first, like she treated me completely differently so I started to rebel just to piss her off. eventually she came to terms with it bc I told her I didn't care what she thought lmao
My parents seemed a bit disappointed. They're pretty religious. After that, they treated me pretty normal except they stopped asking the "do you have a girlfriend/do you like a girl in school?" questions. Some family friends and family members still ask that today in front of my parents (it's soooo awkward)
My one friend, I told him in a essay. It was unintentional though. He was shocked but very supportive. My other friend texted me asking me if I was gay (and this was right after she admitted to having a crush on me). I told her in person that I was and we started laughing. Some other people found out through the grapevine and asked me and I just confirmed. Everyone is nice and respectful so I'm happy.
My mom & step-dad found it out not in a good way (won't tell details because it's not the place for it) but they've been really supportive regarding this topic.
