Few people know that this remix even exists.

This single is such a mess. The more they wait it out, the older the song gets. It doesn't matter what marketing plans Interscope is scheming up, people are getting sick of the song. It's been out for months. A remix and epic music video won't add as much hype as the song did when it came out.

This sounds like a waste of time. They might as well release the video for the fans and move to the next single.

Massive radio play is the key to a higher position and sustained sales. There's very little supporting the remix right now. Most of the general public isn't checking Twitter or news sites; they learn of songs via radio.

DWUW surpassed the original in at least 20 countries though, including the UK where it is still holding in the Top 20 on iTunes.

Lady Gaga has over 40m twitter followers but she opened with with less than 300k in the us and less that 1 million globally.

Xtina has millions of follwers to yet her last two albums opened with poor numbers.

Katy Perry has more than both and she didn't do much better than Gaga
