I've noticed a lot of conflict of what it really is / means to some people (mostly in Beyonce/Miley articles where people in the comments would just argue and argue about what feminism really is or should be), so I made this thread to see what some of you think feminism is.

So.. what is your definition of feminism?

A joke.

All the celebs that call themselves feminists really just believe in female empowerment. You don't see that many protesting for equal rights and stuff.

feminism is supporting women no matter what decisions she makes.clothes don't make someone a ****/a saint.feminism is equality for women.some women don't like supporting other women tho

lol that's not feminism at all. you don't have to support a woman just because she's a woman. if a woman says something ignorant for example, another woman calling her out is not antifeminist in the slightest

Why do some people here consider feminism as a joke?

Feminism has evolved into woman trying to act like men are the devil. Women have equal rights like men now. I think feminism was accomplished when women got the right to vote. Feminism now is nothing.

This isn't true at all. Also, it is undeniable that women are still objectified and do not have fully equal rights to men.
