Lol I just made this post about the documentary in SYG.

Just finished it, I thought they were spot on about Gaga tbh. I like the point they made about gay icons being chosen and not delivered. I do think Gaga does genuinely care about the LGBT community and they seemed to imply that she didn't which was the only part I thought was unfair.

It was a good documentary but a bit rushed, I wish it was longer and they focused more on Madonna and other pop divas' impact (including Kylie's hehe, this is a UK-based documentary after all). I also knew from somewhere that Take That was originally marketed towards a gay audience before the documentary but I didn't realize their imagery was so homoerotic until now.

Well we all knew that Pop wouldn't be as big without the gayz
but i didn't know House was basically came from the gays too

Just finished it. It was very interesting.

The point about how white mainstream America wasn't here for disco because it was "black, gay, and women's" music made me realize something, That demographic really does have buying power. And it occurred to me that Beyoncé has penetrated all 3 subgroups. Her big debut sales this era all of a sudden makes more sense. So enlightening,

This is cool but I didn't understand a lot of parts clearly cause British accent is difficult to me.

It was pretty good, should have been longer though as they missed some important points I've read about elsewhere, and the talking heads could have been a little more diverse.
