Hypable’s readers have spoken! Over 9,000 fans voted in the 2013 Hypable Awards to honor the best in fandom.
Favorite video game

We noticed several surprises as we tallied the results. For one, Veronica Roth’s Allegiant missed the top three in the favorite book category by only a handful of votes. The surprising outcome of the story may’ve been one factor that worked against one of the most popular fandoms on Hypable.
Even more surprising (but to our delight), Maggie Smith took the title of best TV actress for her role on Downton Abbey and beat Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan.
One Direction ranked second for “Best Song Ever” in the favorite song category and took the top spot in the best artist category. We were surprised by this based on what we know about our audience. Our guess is that some One Direction fans rallied the base on Tumblr.
