I was wondering what beautiful and wonderful places you've visited, to get some inspiration for the 2014 summer holiday.
I've already been the England/Germany/Belgium/France/Spain/Italy/Switzerland/Luxembourg and I would like to visit a sunny place where they have some nice activities, but also some beautiful beaches. Have you ever been to such a place? Share your summer holiday dreams and experiences!
I'd recommend Sweden or Norway. Lovely places, lovely sights. And also, flop country Andorra, it's really small and it's a flop country, but I loved the view, I had so much fun there.
Any regions you've visited that are not in my list that you would recommend?
I've really enjoyed my time in Portugal, Croatia and Hungary
Maybe you could look into Sweden, the climate is not that different from Holland but it's a beautiful country.

Turkey + North Africa = unsafe in general and specifically for gays, so no way I'm ever setting foot in those third world countries in regards to human rights and equality

The European side of Turkey is a very progressive country, especially to tourists.
As long as you're a paying customer they wouldn't dare hurting you.
