I'm currently reading The Hypnotist by Lars Kepler. It's a murder mystery, its pretty good.
I'm really into Stephen King right now, read The Running Man and The Long Walk, got It and Under The Dome up next.
Ellen Hopkins' books are about troubled teens, they're very dark but extremely honest, I love them. They're written in poetry format, which I was hesitant about at first, but it works. I would suggest the Crank/Glass/Fallout trilogy, its by far her best.
I just read 1984 by George Orwell, it's actually a great, brain teasing book. It'll change your views of government control of society. Very thought provoking it is.
Currently reading:
Pharaoh by David Gibbins
Sing You Home and House Rules by Jodie Picoult
I highly recommend Joide Picoult if you like lovey dovey stories

I already read Under The Dome. The ending was shocking.
Gone Girl and Sharp Objects. All of Gillian Flynn's books are good even if you're not the biggest fan of horror/mystery (I wasn't but still loved all her books)
If you're looking more for a lighter read then go for David Sedaris's books, he's absolutely hilarious.
Still have like 300 pages left too A dance With Dragons and I started last May I finished World War Z in like 3 days during the summer though and it was ok
