HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - A Pennsylvania woman who drove an arsonist to several western Maryland locations where he set fires last spring is going to prison.
The Herald-Mail newspaper (http://bit.ly/1bSF97m ) reported Thursday that 19-year-old Brandy Sneider-Koontz of Mercersburg, Pa., got a three-year sentence. She also must make restitution of more than $37,000.
She pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree arson and one conspiracy count.
Prosecutors say she drove 21-year-old Tyler Murray of Williamsport to locations where he set fire to three vehicles. Murray faces sentencing Jan. 17 for 13 arsons.
Three other co-defendants were sentenced Thursday to two-week jail terms.
They are among eight people charged in an investigation of nearly 40 fires that did more than $400,000 worth of damage to vehicles and buildings.
