Gwen loves spanish/confirms remix version of NTYGI in the video
According to Video Static:
- The song is Now That You Got It (Official 4th single from The Sweet Escape).
- The video was shot in Puerto Rico and Jamaica.
- The director is Saline Project
- Damian Marley will appear in the video, which means that it won't be the album version of the song. It will be the reggae remix.
I think she's smart to release a remix... NTYGI was definitely not a stand out track for me from The Sweet Escape. I can understand why she released it though... her last two upbeat songs outcharted her last ballad by far.
Somewhere down the road, though, she MUST release Early Winter.
You know, I don't know that I am feeling this one on a first listen. I'm partial to the original version, and I have a feeling that WRVW will play the original versus the remix. Remixes are supposed to be hot. At this point I feel this is luke warm at best.
I don't think Early Winter will be released as a single in the US because if 4 in the morning was a flop Early Winter will probably be a flop. They should release Yummy as the 5th single even if Early Winter is better because it is just not a ballad. Early Winter would be a hit if it is realeased in Europe.
I hope that the remix of NTYGI is better than the original version. The original version sucks, I never thought that it would become a single. Lets hope that NTYGI becomes a hit. Go Gwen
