Shakira will sell 2m from Europe alone, especially with the Rihanna feature. If she manages to get US/UK on board it'll likely be her. If not, Beyoncé.

Ricky Martin does NOT have the official song, but i wish he had just to see him flop miserably while Shakira overshadows the official song with her global hits just like in 2006.

Shak is going to get that song of the year, while Adele having album of the year. Katy can have the song of Q1 tho

I honestly think album sales wise, they will be equal.. Beyoncé will have success in Europe and other places.. I think its coming.

Both are global forces, look at 'BEYONCÉ's current iTunes positions, it's doing great.

I think both will sell around 4M.

They both have the potential to sell a lot globally. I don't think they have ever really directly competed (It's not like Katy vs. Gaga).

Beyonce is off to a tremendously great start, though I wonder how she will sustain sales since usually singles are used to maintain momentum and the public basically has access to all her videos already. That will be interesting to watch the era's development.

Shakira's album sales are usually dependent on having mega hits. She's not very consistent when it comes to releasing singles and usually gets by through a career-saving song each era (i.e. "La Tortura", "Hips Don't Lie, "Waka Waka"). Who knows how well she could sell if she could manage to get 2 major hits per era as opposed to her usual 1. lol But hopefully now that she's with a new record label and under Roc Nation management, she will be better positioned to release more chart topping hits more consistently.

Beyonce. She's more global now.
