That "daily unit" number does not tell the entire story. There's two things to keep in mind with that "daily unit" business:
1) The PS4 was out longer than the Xbox One, meaning that the average would likely skew in Microsoft's favor due to less time on the market. Microsoft's "daily units" number would probably be less impressive if it had been released on the same day as the PS4, for example.
2) There was a LOT of demand for the PS4. I mean, to the point where (I think it was) today, Amazon had a limited number of PS4s in stock. And they sold out. QUICKLY. If the former reason isn't the cause, then it's the lack of PS4s on store and online shelves.
