Everyone called Katy out for her performance's lack of originality amongst other things.

Ke$ha WAS upstaged and just stood in the corner at times whilst the focus was on Pit and the dancers

Christina's performance wasn't anything worth talking about or caring for, yes it made a big impact on the charts but it's nothing special and she's not Adele,we're not used to her standing there(even if it's a ballad). Over the past 2 years the AMA stage saw her wear leotards and have a slew of dancers etc.

Considering the fact that 'Say Something' and 'Timber' are topping the charts the public seems unbothered

Clearly. Failing to make a splash yet solid means Say Something's performance was good but it was just that; good, nothing more. There was a huge splash. If that wasn't the case the #1 in the good (Gaga, and R Kelly) would be #1 on iTunes but they're not.

Kesha and Katy was bad. Haven't watched Christina yet.

It failed to make a splash ON THE SHOW. It wasn't anything special and they're not talking about charts. Gaga's performance was MILES better than this, that doesn't mean that Gaga will go to number 1 it just means that Gaga had the better performance.

JLo was another person who had one of the best performances but, with your logic, why isn't she number 1 on the charts with her non-existent studio covers of the songs she performed???

Title should be changed to "Rolling Stone Shades..." so people don't confuse the magazine with the band.
