Kanye West subjected his audience to yet another lengthy rant during one of his concerts in Brooklyn this week in which talked about his favourite topics including fashion and the haters that want him to fail, while also appearing to throw shots at Bruno Mars and praising Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ video once again.
The ‘Blood On The Leaves’ rapper, who has already caused controversy this week with the ‘Bound 2’ music video which features his fiancee Kim Kardashian topless, decided to talk to his audience in the middle of his second Barclays Center show in New York last night when suffering technical issues with a large screen.
“People always talk about ‘Kanye crazy and s**t.’ And sometimes I wonder, ‘am I the only one that’s not crazy?’” the rapper told the concert-goers. Kanye, 36, proceeded to get some things off his chest and recalled advice given to him by Rick Rubin in August who told him to go through with his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards but not to watch the whole ceremony.
“Bruno Mars won all the motherf**kin awards and s**t. And I was thinking about what Rick Rubin told me, because I don’t give a f**k about no TV show,” Kanye explained.
“What I care about is if you’re an artist and you work hard as f**k and the streets say that you deserve that s**t. Can’t no motherf**kin networks try to gas everybody up so they can sell some product with the prettiest motherf**ker out.”
Referencing his comments at the 2009 MTV VMAs when he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Video of the Year, Kanye added: “I still ain’t see a video better than Beyonce video to this mother f**kin day.”
Kanye also revealed some words of wisdom he received from talk show legend Oprah Winfrey, continuing: “I sit down with Oprah and she said ‘they scared of you ‘Ye. You’ve got to learn how to fail.’ I said ‘Oprah, it’s a new day.’ “When I go on rants my stream of consciousness is like meditation and s**t,” he later added.
Kanye’s first show in Brooklyn on Tuesday night was watched by a star-studded audience including fiancee Kim, her mother Kris Jenner, BFFs Jonathan Cheban and La La Anthony, Lindsay Lohan and Anna Wintour, while he was supported by Kim again last night when he embarked on his rant.
The engaged couple have caused a stir this week after the premiere of Kanye’s ‘Bound 2’ video which sees Kim bouncing around topless while the rapper sits in front of her riding a motorbike.
Not him hating on Bruno for getting his first Moonman ever and implying he's not a real artist and an industry product.
It's open to interpretation tbh. The way I see it... He is saying that awards shows are a terrible way of demonstrating what the best of something is. However, he seems to be admiring Bruno since he is someone who "work[s] hard as f**k".
Because, let's be honest, Bruno Mars is one of very few artists out today who is very involved with his work. Just as much as Kanye West tbh.
Then again, I can see why people might think he is coming for him.
Kanye is on her period, I suppose. He keep complaining about everything.
So, he thinks Bruno won awards and can sell his music because he's pretty boy? Yeah right.
He doesn't know anything about Bruno or how he made it to industry. Bruno stay unbothered.

I think what he's saying is bruno didn't deserve the award and he got it because right now he's the prettiest motherf**ker out there and networks were trying to sell the most product at that night.
So he's saying bruno didn't get it for his hard work as a real artist. I am sure the real artist part is referring to himself.

I know and that's why I understand why people are offended.
I just would like to think Kanye has done his research and realizes that Bruno Mars is far from a label ragdoll.
