Welcome to Alanis New's Album Thread:

1. Alanis is now working with Guy Sigsworth on a new album in Los Angeles and London, she confirmed that during her show in Los Angeles Hotel Café the day 24th April, 2007. And she performed for first time "Not As We" a new song.

2. On September 14, 2007, an interview with Guy Sigsworth, who is collaborating/co-producing Alanis' new album, was posted on Alanis' official myspace describing the forthcoming album. Throughout the interview it was revealed that 25 songs were written for the album and although 13 have been chosen for the final cut, 8 more are in the process of being written. No official release date for a single or for the album has been announced

3. "Underneath" is the second song known to be written and recorded during the 2007 sessions. The song had an unofficial premiere on September 15, 2007 at The Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, at the Elevate Film Festival. The purpose of the festival was to create documentaries, music videos, narratives and shorts - regarding subjects to raise the level of human consciousness on the earth.

Alanis Performed at Stanley's Cup Final!.

Alanis performed the songs "O Canada", "The Star Spangled Banner" at American and Canadian National Anthems!, on the Stanley Cup Playoffs Finals, Ottawa Senators vs Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, in Ottawa, Canadá!.

i already posted this thread like 2 months ago, but in any case, i'm excited to hear what's coming up. i didn't care too much for So-Called Chaos but i thought it was decent. She's kind of dragging her feet though, it's been over 3 years....I'm so anxious!

Plus she really should collaberate with Kelly Clarkson for a track, likely something up-tempo with its subject revolving around a break up/bad relationship.

Please don't trivialize Alanis' talent and contribution to music by comparing her to a pop tart like Kelly Clarkson.

Well Brazilian media confirmed that Alanis will perform at Live Earth show in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro - July 7th - she will be the main star along with Lenny Kravitz and Good Charlotte

I wasn't comparing these 2 ladies' talents and contributions against each other at all; I was saying these two artists should collaberate. And I wasn't trivializing Alanis or Kelly in any way. (Despite your apparent opinion about these two.) If I compared them, it was done on a positive note, seeing as Alanis and Kelly have had similar material used for their albums, and I think these two artists would work well together.
