So here in the UK, there was just an advert for Bangerz on ITV, it said " Includes the number one singles, We Can't Stop, Wrecking Ball and Adore You.. and then the song played at the end. So I'm sure she will be singing 'Adore You' on tonight's episode of XF.

No she didn't, she just said once that it would be between Adore You and SMS (video to prove it ), then 3 consecutive rumours said that SMS was the future single (Bangerz signing party in NY, EMAs in Amsterdam ...).
In fact mileys news sites suspect desperate army fans to be behind those false rumors ...

lol, actually no one is here for Bangerz, not as a single, it would be wasting a song that that would be a smash hit (Drive, Do My Thang, Someone Else, FU etc).

Adore You is a masterpiece that will sell the album, so perfect choice.

But it's an international single, not only a UK one.

There are way better choices on the album.

Adore You never did amazing 'because of pre-orders'. It wasn't a promo single. People just listened to the album & bought it after it was released meaning a lot of people are here for it. It's been in the iTunes top 100 for a while so it would be stupid to not release it next while it has a head start.
