In a recent interview with G4 TV, singer/actress Mandy Moore was surprisingly candid when discussing the merits of her past pop albums.

When G4 host Zach Selwyn admitted to Moore, "I'm not really that familiar with your more recent albums," Moore quipped, "And you shouldn't be!"

When Selwyn replied, "Well, I have all your old albums," Moore then answered, "You should not have any of it."

Moore, who is about to release her largely self-penned folk-pop album Wild Hope, later conceded that her 2003 covers album Coverage "is OK, but anything pre-Coverage you should throw out and burn."

Wild Hope is released June 19.

This is old news and to be completely frank...immature. Yes, everyone wonders wut they did as kids, but she should learn to embrace it. There were at least 4-5 songs that she had as singles that I genuinely liked, unlike the crap out now that is "Extraordinary" (generic).

I don't get these comments from her, at least her old material wasn't boring. I'm sorry, but she has hardly any vocal power and is putting out slow songs with no hooks or catchiness to them. People with strong talent can get away with that, but I'm not convinced she can. "Extraordinary" was good, but her other new songs are a snooze-fest.

yeah! she mentioned it before that she really hate the pop album she released before.. well... me too.. but i love coverage so much... i haven't heard much of wild hope.. but if this is not another bubblegum... i think its pretty cool.. im glad mandy is evolving as an artist..
