Adele is a pop star, genius. Pop music = popular music. Adele had three #1 singles and one of the best-selling albums of all-time. I think she's popular. Anyways... 2011 / 2012 were the years of Adele. 2013 we had no one. Adele is coming back in 2014. The music industry is all good 'till she goes on another hiatus.

It's true though, we haven't had anyone huge in a long time now. I feel Lorde won't last in the same way that the other pop girls have, but I do hope another one comes along next year at least.
