Yes, I have heard of the Chally 2, I had to Google the force-field though. That's pretty interesting! Clever idea, but I wonder how long it will take before it's in service...
Chally 2 is apparently kind of slow compared to the others though, 300 less horses than Leo, Leclerc, Merkava, or Abrams. I also read they want to ditch the rifled barrel. It has a bivvie though.
And your tank would be the M1A2 SEP TUSK. About the only obvious "bad" thing about it would be the L/44 main gun, shorter and less muzzle velocity than the L/55 on the Leo 2. However I suppose that also makes it more maneuverable in urban areas, and what targets can't be destroyed with the L/44 and the latest DU ammunition anyways?
Kind of hard to compare modern tanks though since so much stuff is classified, and there haven't been any battles between the latest generation of MBTs yet.
