Idk about the other countries but I wonder what the sample in the USA was like - if they spread it across the entire country or if they only took samples from big cities/North East/California.

Racism is still a large issue in the southern states AFAIK.

These type of maps always ignore the huge racism in south america.

And in europe, Sweden is a very racist country but you see it all blue. I guess in my honest opinion the least racist country is Cuba.

Wow, I'm shocked to see India and Nepal so high considering their racial diversity and history of tolerance. Jews and Zoroastrians fled to South Asia in ancient times when they were being persecuted all over the world because it was the only place they were treated well, and Tibetan refugees still do today. Very disappointing.

Edit: Never mind. They asked who people wouldn't want as neighbors and people in Asia always stick to their own specific ethnic communities. Not really an accurate measure of tolerance. No wonder Russia didn't come up high.

For example, you would assume deep red states like Alabama and Mississippi would generally loathe the image of gay couples/gay marriage, but turns out, that's an unfair stereotype. Daily Show did an experiment sending gay people to restaurants in those states (or something like that) and they actually got good responses despite PDA.

so... There is some, but definitely not as much as we would think. After all, our entertainment industry and the number of different races who are successful in our country is probably greater than any other country in the World.

I don't believe this. Brazil is very racist principally with black people and latin americans.

Not surprised at France, to be honest.

France passed anti-muslim legislation though. SO not too surprised. +, despite being the home of modern homo-eroticism, they are incredibly conservative about gay marriage as a country. More so than the UK and most of the U.S. even.
