William Orbit has discussed his work on Britney Spears' new album 'Britney Jean', saying he has become "a huge fan" of the US pop star.
Orbit, who recently criticised "really awful" Blur frontman Damon Albarn in an interview with NME , also revealed details of his work with Britney Spears for her forthcoming album. Describing the song 'Alien' that he has worked on for the December release, Orbit also talked about Las Vegas, where Spears will soon begin a residency after signing a deal with Planet Hollywood.
"I've done one song for the new album, called 'Alien', which is really good," says Orbit. "I’ll be in Vegas, seeing the show. I’ve become a huge fan of hers, actually. I always liked her, but when I started to dig into her repertoire – and there’s masses of it – I became a superfan, really. You’ll find me in the audience singing along."
Moving on to the subject of Las Vegas and it's evolving nightlife, Orbit continues: "It’s kind of become the EDM capital of America now. That’s the stuff that people who go there want to hear. They don’t want to hear Tony Bennett any more."
