We've heard about both albums for a long time, and they've been very hyped up, so I was wondering which album would sell more, ARTPOP or PRISM. So I decided to post this poll asking you this question. Which album will sell more, ARTPOP or PRISM?
PRISM tbh - PRISM has more potential hit singles which will mean that the album will have longevity like Teenage Dream. I can actually see the album outselling Teenage Dream, if Katy and her team play their cards right. PRISM appeals to most people who liked Teenage Dream, but it shows growth and a more mature side to Katy which will hopefully mean she'll start to appeal to an older audience. it seems like Katy and her team have a long term plan of establishing Katy as one of the biggest pop stars ever - Prism is where we are starting to see that plan come to fruition (look at Roar's slayage).
In saying that, ARTPOP is the better album but it's also the riskier album. Since the BTW era, Gaga's single releases have been a mess. Gaga no longer has the hype she once did which means if she wants to keep selling albums she'll need hit songs, which means choosing the right songs. If Gaga and her team play their cards right, ARTPOP could potentially outsell Prism, and Born This Way. Gaga's already taken a step in the right direction with Applause and Do What You Want.
