There have been over 1 billion species that have existed on this earth, yet humans are the only ones out of the billion who show signs of incomparable intelligence.

And now, it appears that NASA has discovered 8 billion other planets --similar to earth-- just in the Milky Way.

With that said,

how many species in the Milky Way do you think are MORE intelligent and MORE accomplished than us humans?

I agree with that, but things more intelligent than us is a lot more iffy.

The human race isn't even all that intelligent.
We only seem intelligent because we don't have any other species to compare intelligence to.

No but I honestly think there are plenty of other more intelligent life form in our galaxy and definitely in others. For all we know, they're commuting here now.
