So I was Venus, Goddess of Love, for Halloween at work. As a performance art piece, I raised my hands like a V for Venus and walked around the office. I did not expect something so simple to get the reactions it did. I got giggles and paparazzi flashes (I am the office celebrity after all) but within the first hour of my performance art piece, I was summoned by management who admonished me to stop raising my hands because coworkers were complaining and accusing me of blasphemy. Apparently people cannot tell the difference between Aphrodite and Jesus (I was wearing a Greek toga, not Hebrew attire.) For a moment, I was upset but then I became proud of myself because I realized that I was officially a true performance artist because I got an extreme reaction from something as simple as raising my hands in the air and walking around. Marina Abramovic and Lady Gaga would be proud. Only later did I realize that I have freedom of expression and religion, so those stupid, intolerant, narrow-minded cowards who don't have a sense of humour can spin around in circles! I might as well have held my middle fingers up and walked around the office or do a Nazi salute.
Im not the original poster but is hilarious... just sharing
