Hmmm.
Bosnia and Herzegovina - Bored the hell out of me.
Spain - Bit of a messy performance.
Belarus - It wasn't bad but needed a stronger singer, it would have sounded better with more powerful vocals. Liked the performance.
Ireland - Nice but her vocals weren't clear and they were abit weak.
Finland - Loved it, bold, strong vocals, sounded like she meant it, good performace.
Macedonia - Ok. The fan was a risky idea with that dress.
Slovenia - They should have picked a song that had more dynamic music, she had the voice but the vocals and the music clashed imo.
Hungary - Loved it, something different, well sung and with the right music.
Lithuania - Nice, liked the musical accompaniment, but she sounded a little dull.
Greece - The whole performace and artist looked/sounded like they were aspiring to a Ricky Martin song but fell far short of his dynamism and better vocals.
Georgia - Liked it, reminds me of another song though because it's sung in exactly the same way... anway, great vocals, glad she got rid of the tent/dress.
Sweden - Lol it was good fun, the look of the stage/costumes didn't quite go with the song/vocals but on the whole the performace was really well done. Very 80's TOTPs.
France - Liked the short film before the song. Fun but not as well coordinated as Sweden.
Latvia - Another one that sounds similar to something else... Liked it, well sung and sweet/romantic but I didn't like the way they all came out separately. I understand that they came out to their part of the song but it distracted from the performance of the song.
Russia - Typical modern 'girl group', without the stripping.
Germany - Nice, captured the stage show stle of that era well with the lighting.
Serbia - Very well sung, liked the costumes and the stage/lighting but it was abit like those groups where there is one or two main singers and you wonder what rest are doing there. Liked the heart on the hands at the end.
Ukraine - Moomin <3. Wow what a performance lol. Everything went well together - the song, vocals, costumes, lighting and dancing lol. I could see it as part of a stage show musical.
United Kingdom - Oh please no. Well, they did make an effort and it was reminiscent of a few decades ago, but the song was terrible. Clever use of name dropping but I think the UK is stuck with the perception that the contest hasn't moved on or gotten more polished, they lost interest a while ago, kept submitting crappy entries and now are trying to catch up but are still under the impression that it's 'Are you being Served' camp.
Romania - Better use of name dropping and with the language and culture changes too. Better song, needed abit more attention to the choreography but kudos or the effort and pulling it off well - whereas what the UK did was obvious sucking up.
Bulgaria - Liked the vocals, liked the instruments and energy but I think the choice of tecno background clashed with the live singing, it would probably sound better as a recorded song. I like most things with a 'tribal' feel and I love that Mortal Kombat stlyle sounding techno but yeah, together they didn't mesh well live.
Turkey - Ok. It was a good idea to give him that Red jacket otherwise the dancers and lighting would have eclipsed him altogether. Song was lame.
Armenia - Boring. The 'blood' at the end was an interesting touch though.
Moldova - Very dynamic start with the violin and you can see the effort with the costumes, dancers and lighting but the song itself let it down imo. Or maybe if someone with more energetic vocals would have sung it better - she had great vocals but for some reason the song was boring other then at the beginning and end.
My faves: Finland, Hungary and Georgia.
