Okay, this is pissing me off. During a conversation that we had about Minutes To Midnight, I mentioned to Shade that I think MTM is just "meh" and that i've NEVER felt that way about an LP album previously, and that includes studio, live and remix albums. Shade decides to bring in Reanimation to the convo and mentions that MTM is much, much better. Reanimation is always treated like the black sheep of the LP library. And I just have to ask you guys: Why is that?
When I look at the tracklisting for Reanimation, I don't like only four of the songs: "Enth E Nd", "My<DSMBR", "Frgt/10" and "H! Vltg3". In fact, i'd go as far as to say that a couple of the songs("Krwlng", "Wth>You") are BETTER than the originals. It gets a bad rep from people that, honestly, I don't think it deserves, especially with the release of Minutes To Midnight.
Okay, discuss your thoughts on the matter.
NOTE: I am putting this here instead of in my blog because I think it will have more of an opportunity to be discussed here. If it is felt that it should be moved, I will be okay with doing so.
Hybrid Theory was great to begin with, remixing every song just tampered with every great song on it. Most tracks on Reanimation are eh to me but since it's a remix album and not just new material, I feel it coulduv been done better
I haven't actually given Reanimation a listen since it came out, but I liked the "One Step Closer" mix with Jonathan Davis a lot more than the original. I'm gonna give the album another chance once I find it in someone's Get File. I'm pretty sure it can't be much worse than MTM.
I haven't heard MTM yet (because I want to buy it first), so now I can't compare it to Reanimation.
I think Reanimation it's a great album (I like every song except for 'Enth E Nd' ), and I also think that there are some songs that are better than the originals, specially "Wth>You"
