Over at the Facebook page for DJ Mag France, the Top 100 DJs roll-call has begun. We’ll be keeping this article updated as the results roll in – scroll down for the list so far. The poll kicked off with Rad D at #100, and the results are already delivering a lot to talk about. With names like Martin Solveig, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Madeon, Arty and Eric Prydz all falling in the 100-50 bracket, there have been strong showings by acts-of-the-moment Krewella, Porter Robinson and Beatport-blockbusting newcomer Martin Garrix. Now the full list is in, with Dutch superstar Hardwell rising to the #1 spot, unseating Armin van Buuren. The top ten is ruled by Dutch talent, including Tiesto, Dash Berlin, Nicky Romero and Afrojack.
In 2012, Hardwell shot up 18 spots to the #6 position, and Tiesto gave the early endorsement that this was his year to lead it. The incoming documentary I Am Hardwell – which had its red carpet premiere during Amsterdam Dance Event on Thursday 17 October – tracks that steep rise through the dance music ranks.
