Adele's driving instructor has revealed that he did not recognise her at first.
The singer-songwriter recently passed her driving test, praising instructor Noel Gaughan on his personal website.
Gaughan has taught several celebrity pupils, including the likes of Niall Horan, James McAvoy, Gemma Arterton, Mika, Rhys Ifans and Ted Dwane of Mumford & Sons.
However, Gaughan told The Daily Telegraph that he prefers BBC Radio 4 to TV and does not always know his star clients.
The instructor gives short intensive courses of less than a week to his pupils, which prove popular for celebrities who have busy schedules.
Adele passed her test on her first attempt last week with just one minor error, after only six days of lessons.
Gaughan said: "I didn't know who Adele was so she started singing in her lessons. The problem was I didn't know any of her songs.
"She would sing some beautiful songs and say, 'You must know this one', but I don't really know many celebrities."
He continued: "Driving will give her a bit of freedom and she is looking forward to be able to go off with just her and Angelo. She worked very hard with me and learned very quickly."
Adele wrote on his website: "Noel is [the] Dumbledore of roads. Could not have done it without him and his jokes, changed my life."

He's actually very famous with celebs, he recently also instruted niall from 1D and many other celebs but said he didn't know any of them were celebrities
