The Killers confirm new single release
Plus band celebrate millionth sale of 'Sam's Town'
The Killers marked the millionth sale of their second album 'Sam's Town' by confirming 'For Reasons Unknown' will be released as their next single.
The track, out on June 4, has become the highlight of the band's live performance as the song features frontman Brandon Flowers changing roles during the set - swapping his keyboard duties for a bass guitar.
The single release will come just ahead of the band's headline performances this year at Glastonbury, T In The Park and V Festival.
It's happening the same thing as with 'Hot Fuss', I was expecting "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine" to be a single, but they chose "Smile Like You Mean It" :-/
The only previous mainstream success The Killers had was with Mr. Brightside.
STM, ATTTID, SLYMI - were pretty much all confined to the Alternative success that Bones and Read My Mind have had.
But yeah - I am shocked RMM didn't take off on CHR & Digital downloads like Mr. Brightside did.
Oh well - album is selling, and the tour is pretty much sold out. They're doing alright.
