Walmart: love it,hate it,most everyone in the western world knows what one is talking about when the word Walmart is mentioned. Its superstores, which are often found in Anytown America usually span 150,000-200,000 Square feet of space.Usually one goes for the lower prices on an array of Tangible items such as groceries, electronics, books, toys, toiletries, and paint.Items that could very well cost much more at local stores or other chains.People love it for the convenience factor as a One stop shop and the low prices, due to the sheer amount of clout and buying power they have with vendors.)
However, with all the people who would do their shopping at Walmart, there are also people who would go out their way to avoid shopping at Walmart at all costs, ranging from a not-so-great work culture in their stores ranging from low pay to not letting employees celebrate Thanksgiving with their families (as an effect one could argue that this harms customer service at their stores),to accusations of predatory pricing and using slave labor for products found in their stores.Residents of many towns and suburbs oppose the idea of Walmart being their neighbors for a variety of reasons ranging from BRIGHTLY LIT parking lots, colorful clientele, decreasing home values (depending on the neighborhood) and the fact that Walmart's predatory pricing drives other places of business to close up shop, leaving empty retail space)
My question is, Do you shop there, and what are your feelings towards people shopping there and/or people who shop there?
For my UK people, this question pertains to ASDA.
