I guess just being here for a while and getting along with (most) people and following the rules and such is how most of us became moderators

You have to make yourself get noticed by constantly fighting with everyone in sight and racking up your post count. That only shows your dedication to the messageboard, which will only bode well for you when they look for more moderators.

^ You make it sounds like we're monsters from hell. Everyone has the right to say whatever they want as long as they have their own limits. To answer Musical War's question, I was here for a while and I guess I contributed something to the forum. I asked the admin. staff back in the days whether if I can be a moderator, and they said yes.

Hint: (For the very most part in this thread = J/K) and you in with a handful of others shouldn't have much to worry/doubt/react about when it comes to me vs. your positions.

I don't really want to be a mod, or at least a full mod. If I can be a mod for the c/ds board, that would be good, but I don't want to abuse my mod powers *cough* *cough*. And besides, it'd be too much to do for me, I guess.

Unless the current mods leave or somehow die, we won't see another mod for a long time

The YTT forum is, basically, not run by any one person(well, Ike isn't really a person, you know), but the entire group of mods. Trust me, I really wanted to be just the YTT mod, that's how I know.

I always think about the possibility of being a mod again. However, every time I think about wanting to become one again, somebody always finds a way to talk me out of it. I don't know WHY they don't want me to be a mod again. *cough*

As for the whole "being a member for a considerable period of time" thing, if somebody comes along that impresses that much and is relatively new, I guarantee you that they'll be considered. At least, that's what I think. And I will say that, if getting along with people was a way to get into a mod position, then how the **** did Bart get there? Certainly not by being incredibly nice to everyone.
