It's a great first single from The Bravery. You may remember their most popular single, "Honest Mistake". They are back with their first single "Time Won't Let Me Go'. I know they are compared a lot to The Killers but I have to say that I think I will enjoy this single more than "When You Were Young".

Since we're comparing the two, I DEFINITELY like this more than "When You Were Young", if you're curious.

^ Really? I liked WYWY but it was full of inexplicable metaphors. I couldn't really tell what all of those metaphors mean.

Oh yay I love The Bravery.

Understanding the metaphors takes that song to a whole new level. It's a completely big screen approach to music, and they nailed it.

But not to take away from "Time Wont Let Me Go", it's a great song, better than most of their debut material, but yeah, not as good as "Honest Mistake".

I think "When You Were Young" is the better song, but I know for a fact The Bravery will put out a better complete album as opposed to the ******** The Killers tried to pass off.

The new sound is a little bizarre just picturing it coming from The Bravery, but it's not bad.

The Bravery's album was pretty melodic like this track, but it was overpowered by all the heavy synths they used. I think this is a great approach for them since the whole "synth" fad is on it's way out.

And about The Killers, and yeah you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it - but I think even if you don't think they succeeding in "passing something off", at least they experimented with their formula and their sound. I think it would be boring if we just got another album full of "Somebody Told Me" type songs. It shows no growth.

And even if their attempt at "growth" doesn't impress people, at least they are trying to establish themselves as a serious contender in the Rock arena (which they are based on their album sales). And who knows, maybe you'll think they get it right when there 3rd album comes around.

I respect The Killers for evolving their sound on the 2nd album. I have much more respect for artists and bands who continue to push their sound and don't rehash the same formula album by album. I believe Hot Fuss is a better album though. I have many favorites off that CD. With Sam's Town, there's about 4 songs that I think are great.

I actually haven't listened to The Bravery's first CD. Is it worth checking out? I'm a huge fan of "Honest Mistake" and it seems that they are changing their sound with this album as well which is great.

The Bravery's debut is definitely worth checking out.

Particularly; Rites of Spring, Unconditional, Fearless, Public Service Announcement.

This song is horrible compared to the three singles off their debut, although it may grow on me.

I hate THE BRAVERY

Yeah, I like they tried something new but I think this album The Killers took themselves way too seriously and came off really corny and lame. I don't want to sound like I'm completely blasting the Killers, because they are a talented band, but maturity isn't something that New Wave artists really excel at, or should even TRY to strive for

Plus, I think ANY Killers fan can admit the first album is easily better than the 2nd

But if The Killers are going to stick around, they have to go past the "new wave" label, because that sub genre is already on it's way out.

And I actually think the 2nd album is better. But the best Killers tracks they have ever done (i.e. Brightside, Jenny) are on their first.
